BCR Law’s Property team is looking to recruit a junior paralegal to join its busy and growing team.
Core responsibilities
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Advocates and fee earners to assist in the process of property transactions and other property related transactions. The role is varied and we need someone who is able to integrate within the team, adapt to new ways of working and is willing to learn. You will be required to:
- Assist in property transactions
- Assist on site visits
- Prepare documents
- Prepare leases
- Deal with file opening and AML procedures
- Update monitoring software
- Complete general property related administration
Core skills
We would require the successful candidate to show enthusiasm and a desire to learn and work in property law, as well as show the following skills:
- Excellent written and communication skills are essential
- Demonstrate solid academic results or transferable skills – A Level or equivalent would be beneficial although not essential
- Ability to think quickly and adapt
- Good IT skills are required
- Good organisational skills are needed to be efficient in adhering to deadlines
- Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, other firms and uphold our good reputation with the Court
Progression
Training will be provided along with internal mentoring. For candidates that excel in the role there is always progression through the firm and with further education.
