Discrimination

Expert advice on workplace discrimination.

Discrimination issues are an increasingly important aspect of employment law. Whether managing a situation which has arisen or establishing suitable policies and procedures to minimise the potential for direct or indirect discrimination, we are here to help and protect our clients. We offer expert advice to employers and employees to resolve complex and sensitive cases.

Our Expertise

We provide specialist advice and support on all aspects of discrimination law.  At BCR, we have worked with individuals and organisations to establish proper working practices and training to reduce the risk of direct or indirect discrimination in the workplace. We have experience in addressing a wide range of discrimination issues, including those related to race, sex, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment and pregnancy and maternity. Our team is DIFERA accredited, demonstrating our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Our Approach

We understand that discrimination cases can be highly sensitive and emotionally charged.  Our team is committed to resolving discrimination disputes efficiently and fairly. We combine legal expertise with a strategic, compassionate approach to help you navigate this complex area of law.

For individuals, we offer practical guidance on how to challenge unlawful treatment, whether it involves recruitment practices, pay disparities, harassment, unfair dismissal or unfair polices.  We support clients through internal grievance procedures, Employment and Discrimination Tribunal proceedings, and negotiated settlements.

For employers, we provide proactive advice on compliance and how to reduce the risk of claims.  We also assist with training, handling internal investigations, drafting policies and procedures, and responding effectively to complaints and legal actions.

Our Values in Action

Delivery: We deliver clear, practical legal solutions with responsiveness, precision, and no surprises.

Respect: We listen, understand, and tailor our advice to each client’s unique needs.
