Our Expertise

The Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013 (as recently amended) provides a number of key protections for employees and imposes a number of important obligations on employers. At BCR, we have a long history of advising employers on the design, adoption, and management, of appropriate policies and procedures relating to bullying and harassment. Where issues do arise, we have the knowledge and experience to guide both employers and employees through any complaints, grievances, investigations, and proceedings.

For employers, we provide guidance on preventing and responding to bullying and harassment in a fair, lawful, and sensitive manner.  This includes drafting bullying and harassment policies, conducting impartial investigations, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations under local employment and discrimination laws.

For employees, we offer clear advice on how to raise concerns formally through grievance procedures, how to document incidents effectively, and what legal protections are available. Where necessary, we assist in pursuing claims before the Jersey Employment and Discrimination Tribunal, ensuring their voice is heard and their rights protected.
