My decision to pursue a career in law was a fairly recent one. I never knew what I wanted to do whilst growing up because I didn’t like the idea of not being able to do everything. This is what led me to undertake the International Baccalaureate whilst at school, so I could study as broadly as possible, and also to eventually study History at university.

‍

Not only did History allow me to continue to pursue multi-disciplinary interests, but I have always enjoyed research and analysing problems. Despite the overlap between the fields, however, I don’t think I was aware of any interest in law until I began to notice its influence, not only in my learning and personal interests, but in the wider world. This was what had driven me to my degree in the first place, so law felt like an exciting opportunity. Once it became apparent to me how interesting and important law could be, I became determined to pursue it.
