Competition Terms and Conditions
1. These terms and conditions relate to the BCR Law LLP ‘Tortoise Takeover’ Competition (the “Competition”), by which entrants are entered into one of two prize draws for a chance to win either: (1) a Nintendo Switch (the “Console Draw”); or (2) an original artwork by Tim Sutcliffe (the “Art Draw”).
2. The promoter of the competition is BCR Law LLP whose registered office is at 12 Hill Street, St. Helier, JERSEY, JE2 4UA (“BCR Law”).

4. These terms and conditions are the Competition Rules (the “Rules”). By entering the Competition, you agree to be bound by the Rules.
5. The Rules are available on BCR Law’s website, www.bcrlawllp.com, or can be viewed on request at the offices of BCR Law at 12 Hill Street, St. Helier, JERSEY, JE2 4UA.
6. BCR Law reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and the Rules without notice. Any changes to the Competition or the Rules will be notified by publication on BCR Law’s website.
Entry Criteria
7. The Competition is free to enter. All you have to do is: (1) download the Tortoise Takeover App; (2) scan the QR Code on Jersey Willow; and (3) follow the link to complete the online entry form with your details.
8. To qualify to enter the Competition you must be resident in the Channel Islands, the United Kingdom, or the Isle of Man. If successful your prize may be sent to you at the address you provide on your entry form – so please make sure it is correct!
9. The Competition is not open to employees of BCR Law or their immediate family members.
10. The Competition is open to people of all ages. If you are under 18 years of age submission of an entry form will be taken as confirmation that you have your parent’s, or parents’, or guardian’s, permission to enter the Competition.
11. Only one entry per person is allowed.
12. Closing date for entries is 31 August 2023.
13. BCR Law reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
Prizes
14. You have a choice as to whether to enter the Console Draw or the Art Draw.
15. Within 28 days after the closing date, the draws will be held and one winner from each draw will be selected at random. The winner from the Console Draw will win a Nintendo Switch, and the winner of the Art Draw will win an original piece of artwork by Tim Sutcliffe, the wonderful artist who created Willow the Tortoise.
16. BCR Law will make contact with the lucky winners to arrange for delivery or collection of the prizes. If we cannot get in touch with a winner on the details they have provided then that person may be disqualified and the relevant prize re-drawn and another winner identified.
17. The names of those who have won either the Console Draw or the Art Draw may be published on appropriate media, social media channels, and/or the website: www.bcrlawllp.com.
Data Protection and Publicity
18. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with Jersey’s data protection legislation and any subordinate legislation passed under it.
19. No personal data relating to entrants will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual’s consent or as required by law.

Data relating to entrants will be retained by BCR Law for a reasonable period after the Competition closes to assist BCR Law to operate future Competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries which may arise in respect of the operation of the Competition.
