The Unstoppable Jersey Summer Exhibition

BCR Law is pleased to announce sponsorship of the rural landscape award at the Jersey Summer Exhibition held at the CCA Galleries. 

The Jersey Summer Exhibition developed through a growing appetite for high quality, curated visual art in Jersey. This highlight of the Jersey cultural calendar is based on the successful model at the London Royal Academy every summer – exhibits are selected by a panel of professional artists and shown in a group selling exhibition.

Although CCA gallery is temporarily closed, The Jersey Summer Exhibition is currently still going ahead. 90 artists applied this year (up over 10% from last year) across a multitude of artistic disciplines. 

Any traditional Jersey landscape that has been selected for the Jersey Summer Exhibition will be automatically entered into the rural landscape award. The panel of Sasha Gibb from CCA Galleries, RURAL Magazine, the National Trust for Jersey and BCR Law. The award has been generously sponsored by BCR Law and National Trust for Jersey. First prize is £600.00, second prize is a weekend at NT for Jersey’s Catel Fort and third prize is £150.00.

The worst case scenario of course, as the next few months continue to unfold, CCA Gallery will be monitoring the situation and taking safety advice with regard to public gatherings at the gallery. We shall deal with this as it happens. If it is deemed a risk to hold a private view at the gallery in June, this will be delayed and seek a local film maker to shoot the hang and upload it to the CCA Gallery website alongside an online catalogue.
