Two new Advocates at BCR Law

BCR Law is pleased to announce that Advocate Emma Wakeling has joined the Firm, increasing the number of its Jersey qualified lawyers to ten.  George Pearce has also qualified as an Advocate of The Royal Court of Jersey .

Emma was called to the English Bar in 2009 and qualified as a Jersey Advocate in 2012. She specialises in family and criminal law and, whilst maintaining an interest particularly in criminal advocacy, will head the Family Team at BCR. In that role she will advise on a wide range of family work including divorce and the attendant resolution of financial matters and on issues involving children.

Qualifying at the Firm, where he has been a lawyer since 2013, George Pearce has been called as an Advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey. Advocate Pearce will continue to act in a wide range of high value personal injury and clinical negligence claims and strengthens the Firm’s offering in that area. He was called as an Advocate on 9th November.

Commenting on Advocate Wakeling’s appointment and Advocate Pearce’s qualification, Managing Partner David Benest said: “I am delighted to welcome Emma to the Firm. Her expertise in family law will ensure that we are able to represent our clients in a wide range of matters.
